Jen Potmesil Jen is the Director of Little Oak Preschool. Jen has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and had five years of teaching experience prior to becoming Little Oak's Director in 1998. Jen is devoted to enriching and nurturing the lives of the children at Little Oak. Jen is equally committed to providing the best possible foundation for a child's later academic experiences. Kim Burt Little Oak Preschool is owned and operated by Kim Burt. With more than 18 years of child development experience, Kim is dedicated to making Little Oak a fun and memorable experience for all. Her dream of providing the best possible preschool and childcare environment in this area was realized with the opening of Little Oak in 1996. Carolyn Moore Carolyn is the Office Manager of Little Oak Preschool. Carolyn has her BA in Speech Communication from Cal Poly. Carolyn began her teaching career with Little Oak in 1996 and her days with the children inspired her to go back to school for Elementary Education. Carolyn has since worked in many of the local elementary schools and as an elementary school substitute. Carolyn came back to Little Oak when her children began as Red Birds in 2001. Carolyn loves greeting her preschool friends daily and is proud to be a part of such a wonderful school. Beth Brister Beth is currently helping as an office assistant here at Little Oak Preschool. She has also worked as a substitute in the office and in the classrooms at our preschool for many years. Beth enjoys gardening, crafts and her two granddaughters (Miss Kelly in the Green Frogs is Miss Beth’s daughter☺.) When Beth is in the classroom she really enjoys reading, playing and coloring with the children. Beth is excited to spend her days here with her little and big friends at Little Oak. Catalena Morishita We are excited to welcome Catalena to Little Oak. Catalena has two AA degrees in Liberal Arts and Psychology and is a graduating Senior at San Jose State University, majoring in Child Development. Catalena loves to dance, she has been tap-dancing since the age of 2. Catalena enjoys sitting and talking with children because they have the most interesting and creative stories to tell. Her favorite part about Little Oak is being able to see the children’s personalities develop through play and to be able to engage with children.
Our Facility Our classroom setting provides our children with a safe, comfortable, clean and well-organized environment. All of our teachers and assistants meet or exceed the educational requirements set forth by the California Department of Social Services. We pride ourselves on our highly qualified, educated staff and our 1:6 or 1:8 ratios. We require each teacher to participate in an on-going program of in-service education so that we may keep current on new developments pertaining to the health and betterment of our children. |
